While my training in clinical counseling psychology provided me with exposure to many approaches,  my studies focused on family therapy.

Family therapists look at the context that an individual both operates in and comes from.

I do not blame and do not pathologize your experience.  Instead,  I see an individual's problems as normal attempts to adapt and cope with life stressors.

I am direct and give plenty of feedback.  I can teach you practical, take-away tools, such as mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).  I have a special interest in working with couples, so in addition to my experience with CBT and mindfulness, I have training in emotionally focused therapy.
